Founded in Nigeria in 1985, Gambeta Groupe has grown from an indigenous engineering enterprise into an African-focused multidisciplinary group with capabilities relevant to projects and partnerships across international markets.
Its original professional interests included civil, building, mechanical and electrical engineering alongside technical services for Nigeria's expanding infrastructure and oil-and-gas industries, particularly within the Niger Delta.
Today, four specialist businesses operate within their own areas of expertise while drawing on the group's shared engineering heritage, professional standards and an expanding African and international outlook.

Gambeta Groupe emerged during a period of rapid expansion in Nigeria's infrastructure and oil-and-gas industries.
The growth of these industries created increasing demand for technically capable organisations that could deliver engineering and supporting services to professional standards.
Gambeta was established around the belief that Nigerian companies and professionals should play a stronger role in that development.
Its earliest activities centred on civil, building, mechanical and electrical engineering, construction and technical services, particularly within the Niger Delta.

GAPEC Consultants Limited is established on 16 November as the group's consulting engineering arm (RC 611255).
Engr. George C. Okoroma serves as the 18th President of the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria.
He is elected Deputy President of FIDIC Africa.
He is confirmed as President-Elect of FIDIC Africa.
He is formally inaugurated as President of FIDIC Africa in Accra, Ghana.
